In a world full of judgment, body shaming and reality TV, it’s harder than ever for women to “love themselves the way they are.” I think by now, we understand we aren’t doing this for men. Men never notice. We improve our appearances for ourselves. Let’s be honest. When you look better, you feel better.
We will never forget the way our 20-year-old belly looked when we had the belly ring, or no stretch marks. Every now and then we pull out the archived Facebook photos just to remind ourselves what it was like in our prime. Then we watch TV only to see the “perfect” image of a woman looking strikingly similar to a walrus with a snatched waist.
No Judgement Zone
There’s nothing wrong with wanting to improve your physical appearance, but I feel we are obsessed to a sickening point. People are financing procedures that put their lives at risk. They get nipped, tucked, and cut up. My personal limit to what I will do to myself stops at invasive procedures. I refuse to risk my life by going under the knife strictly for vanity. I have three children and it’s just not worth it.
Non-Surgical Body Sculpting
After my third son, I was heavier than I had ever been, and my stomach was unrecognizable. I disliked the appearance of my stretch marks. It didn’t matter when guys would say, “You’re a tiger who earned her stripes.” Sir, you are not helping. Rawr!
When I first heard about non-surgical body sculpting, I thought it was too good to be true. So, after a bit more research, I finally decided to try a couple. I’ve done fat-freezing, 4D Laser Lipo, and EmSculpt. I was shocked to learn that these procedures WORKED. You just have to work with them.
Getting these procedures done promotes an entire lifestyle change. You still have to do your best to maintain a healthy diet, get good sleep, and take care of your skin. Some may argue that you only need to use the machines to exercise, but I still say nothing beats 20 minutes of old school cardio every day. You still want to do regular exercise and keep those joints moving.
Body Sculpting Requires Discipline
I recommend body sculpting if you have the discipline to do the work to see and maintain results. It’s not magic. It only helps. Once fat is killed and burned, it’s killed permanently. You have to make sure you’re detoxing your body and avoiding the same mistakes you made to accumulate the additional fat cells.
It blows me away when I find out how much people spend for surgeons to cut into their bodies only for them to look the same way the very next year. Don’t waste your money getting any procedure done if you are not in a mental space to really make a life change.
Sculpt has a whole plan I follow. I drink the Skinny Morning Tea every morning with apple cider vinegar and raw honey. In the evening, I’ll have the nighttime detox tea. After I shower, I rub my booty down with the Booty Enhancement Cream. I rub down the flabby part of my arms, back fat and side rolls with the Fat Burning Gel. It burns, but it’s a good burn. You know what they say about beauty.
The areas I love hitting with the cavitation device and red-light therapy are my double chin, underbody and stretch marks.
Body Sculpting Through Surgery
The aftercare for BBLs and different surgeries are strenuous. You have to wear a body contraption for a year, on top of lymphatic draining and other procedures. If you have discipline to do all of this, why not just exercise or try something a little less risky?
Also, the thing about the surgeries is that the surgeons are artists. Depending on who you go to, you’re going to look just like everybody else they created. I don’t understand that at all. Plus, some people look like they had surgery. It looks unnatural. Personally, if I were to get surgery, I would not want you to know I got it. I don’t want you to look at me and see surgery. I want it to look as natural as possible. I want you to think this is how I’ve always looked.
With noninvasive body sculpting procedures, your body is going to look like your body just much more improved. You won’t have those lines that liposuction gives you. You won’t have scars. Your skin will actually be in better shape from all of the red-light therapy and skin tightening that Emsculpt gives you.
Sculpt Spa
Just like any other practice, they are not created equal. You have to go where you trust the person. The only person I trust to do my body sculpting procedures is Sculpt Spa. It’s located in Dearborn, Michigan and it’s woman owned and for women only. Samia is a good person who provides a safe space for all women. I definitely recommend you check them out if you’re going to be in town and want a sculpting treatment done.
Not only that, but her waist trainers are also amazing. She has so many different styles. Depending on what I’m looking for, I choose the one that fits best. She even has thigh Scheppers, which are actually really cool. Every time I wear them my thighs are sweating by the time I take them off to collect all of her apparel. My next purchase is actually the limited-edition waist shaper picture below.
Before and After Shot
Here’s a before, and after of mine. This is me just three weeks after.
I will continue to keep you updated on my treatments. My next thing is that enhancement using cupping. I can’t wait to share how that flies.
I would love for you to share your body sculpting experience. If you have any questions, opinions or concerns please comment below.
