An Unforgettable Night of Love, Style, and Detroit Excellence

On Friday, November 7, 2025 at 7:00 PM, Detroit showed up — and showed out. The Ready to Love: Detroit Red Carpet Premiere Experience marked a historic cultural moment, as the OWN Network brought the series to the Midwest for the very first time. As a Will Packer Production, the evening celebrated authenticity, vulnerability, joy, and Detroit’s unmistakable presence. Hosted at ORA Detroit, the night carried an atmosphere of anticipation, pride, and community from the moment the doors opened. From camera flashes along the red carpet to curated cocktails and conversations filling the room, this was an evening created to be remembered.

The Arrival — A Detroit Glam Moment
Guests entered into a cinematic, carefully curated environment where every detail was considered. The red carpet was filled with photographers and videographers capturing each moment of connection. VIP check-in flowed seamlessly, complete with custom gift bags intentionally designed for the evening.
This INVITE-ONLY event hosted some of the city’s top influencers, cultural curators, and media outlets — voices and platforms that actively shape Detroit’s creative identity and cultural storytelling. Elegant Feather Girls greeted guests upon arrival, adding movement, texture, and visual luxury that established the tone for the night. This was not just an event. It was an experience.
Detroit arrived in full expression — tailored suits, structured gowns, bold silhouettes, textured fabrics, and defining personal style. The room reflected confidence, culture, presence, and pride.

Special Guest Host: Actor Quentin Sharpe
The evening was guided by Actor Quentin Sharpe, best known for his compelling portrayal of Rob Murphy in the film DEEP. Quentin hosted with intention, clarity, and an understanding of how to hold space. He welcomed guests, acknowledged the significance of the moment, and introduced the screening with the poise and depth of a storyteller. His presence elevated the atmosphere and grounded the experience in authenticity.
A Sweet Statement: The Cake by Caked By M

One of the most memorable elements of the evening was the custom cake created by Caked By M. Designed with elegant artistry and executed with exceptional craftsmanship, a true statement piece. Its refined detailing and flavor were equally unforgettable, adding a layer of sophistication and care to the celebration.
The Soundtrack of the Night
The musical flow of the evening shaped the atmosphere and experience. DJ Brain Surgeon curated the sound during the premiere portion of the night, creating an ambiance that supported conversation, connection, and anticipation. As the evening transitioned into the after party, Jay Lavon elevated the room with a dynamic, engaging set that kept guests fully present and in rhythm. To heighten the sensory experience further, Fire Girls performed live during the after party, bringing theatrical movement and visual intensity that added to the vibrancy and spectacle of the celebration.
